About Tracy Schwartz
Founder of Family Essentials, LLC, Tracy is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), who specializes in working with couples who are on the brink of divorce. For close to a decade, Tracy has been assisting couples transform their marriages. Tracy works closely with couples to first identify their dysfunctional and ineffective relational patterns in order to form more productive ones — resulting in better communication and a successful relationship.
Tracy first began her studies of human behavior at the University of Vermont, graduating Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Tracy went on to earn her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Boston College. After two years of supervised clinical work, Tracy became a Licensed Independent Practitioner and opened her private practice.
Tracy has been intensively trained and certified to utilize Terry Real’s Relational Life Therapy (RLT) to teach couples specific skills on how to listen, understand, and meet the needs of their family members while simultaneously satisfying their own needs.
Additionally, Tracy is certified in Pia Melody’s Developmental and Relational Trauma Therapy (DARTT) to assist couples with understanding and healing their developmental trauma that is at the root of their dysfunctional relational patterns. Tracy is passionate about her work with couples, as she believes that teaching couples to live a healthy and happy family life is essential, particularly to pave the road for future generations.
On a personal level, Tracy and Mike, her husband of 22 years, live with their two children on the South Shore of Massachusetts. Tracy loves spending time with her family biking on the trails of Cape Cod, Skiing in NH, and going to the beach.
